Boston ( aka Bean Town )

For the first-time visitor to Boston, there’s no better starting point than the Freedom Trail  for checking out the best of  Boston. The two-and-a-half-mile tour, clearly marked by a red line on the sidewalk, winds its way past several of the best-known historical sites and attractions. 

It’s an easy self-guided tour, though several options for led tours also are available.

you can join the Freedom Trail at any point, but to get the most out of the tour, it helps to follow from start to finish. The Trail  begins at the Visitor Information Center on the Boston Common, (the United States ’ oldest public park., 1634).

where you can pick up a map or rent an audio tour.Along the way, you’ll pass 16 historic landmarks.

That include Paul Revere House & Old North Church The Trail ends at the Bunker Hill Monument and USS Constitution in Charlestown. You can take the Charlestown Water Shuttle to get back Downtown.

The Boston Tea Party was “the single most important event leading up to the American Revolution.” The Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum is dedicated to telling the story of that fateful night of December 16, 1773.

I suggest taking the Guided Trolley Tour of Boston's most haunted locations: the North End, Boston Commons, and Granary Burial Ground.  

You will learn about the Salem Witch Trials,The Boston Strangler,  Lizzie Borden, hauntings at the Omni Parker Hotel. Visit the gravesites of John Hancock, Samuel Adams, and Paul Revere.

It will give you a history lesson on Boston’s dark side. taking you to graveyards, haunted hotels, the site of the Boston massacre

Boston has so much to offer, with all the history and traditions, along with the lively city it has become today. It's definitely worth the trip.
